Luke posted a bunch of new pictures that I want to add as a recap of the past 6 weeks or so! They've been eventful!

Are you sensing that the Chinese mission in DC South involves a lot of great Chinese food?! |

Clark and the Chinese elders |

This is Helen, Clark's mom, at his baptism. Our family got to talk with Helen and Clark on the p-day after he was baptized. It was so much fun!! Helen is the sweetest lady and, as a mom, it was fun to see how much she loves my boy. I'm so thankful for wonderful people in the DC South mission who help love and take care of Luke! I know it's a mutual thing... Luke has always been pretty exceptional at loving and taking care of people too :) |
|
The whole branch turned out to celebrate the baptism! |
|
Luke worked with the President to get permission for Clark's dad (in China) to be able to watch on Zoom! |
|
Buddies :) |

The Chinese elders at Top Golf to celebrate! |
|
Luke does a lot of translating now :) I'm no expert, but I am amazed at how well his Chinese is coming along!

There is a great story with this pic... the short version is that the missionaries invited a groups of guys playing basketball to come to church. They said they only would if the missionaries could beat them in a pickup game of basketball. The missionaries, I'm guessing with divine intervention, played the game of their lives... dress shoes and all! Like, couldn't miss a shot haha! Though impressed, the losing team did not show up to church haha ;) |
