Happy one year!

Alright, I am so sorry I don’t have a lot of time to write this! But due to many requests from my many fans (my momma) I have decided to give a little update haha!
  • I have a new companion! I am training again which is super fun! His name is Elder Chen (you can say it like Chun) he is super super cool! He’s from Taiwan Taipei! Sooooo his Chinese isn’t too bad.
  • Our friend Bill just got back from Taiwan! It was so fun to meet with him again this week!
  • I have been serving for a year! Kind of crazy!
So that’s pretty much it! Nothing crazy going on over here haha! It’s been a fun last little bit!
This week I was reading in Helaman 10. Right now Nephi is spreading the good word of God but he isn’t having very good results haha! He is actually getting destroyed and everyone hates him. So, like anyone would, he decides to head back home, rest up a little bit, and come up with a new game plan. As he’s pondering (verses 2 & 3) the Lord comes unto him. He calls him by name and establishes their relationship with each other, making it a personal interaction (verse 6). God gives Nephi the power to seal things on earth and in heaven (verse 7)! Goodness what an amazing blessing that is! God has given us that same power today as well! Our relationships can go beyond this life and our families can truly have eternal life together forever! But I think the thing that stood out to me the most in this story/chapter is verse 12.

“And behold, now it came to pass that when the Lord has spoken these words unto Nephi, he did stop (didn’t pause, didn’t slow his walk, he stopped right in his tracks!) and did not go unto his own house (abandons his plans, his rest is now gone), but did return unto the multitudes (who have just mocked him, spit on him, cast him out, etc.) who were scattered about upon the face of the land (not all just in one place where he can go prophecy, he has to use extra effort in going throughout all the land and talking to all the people), and began to declare unto them the word of the Lord which had been spoken unto him (he declares the exact words that God has just barely told him, not varying in the slightest). I love this verse!

The moral of the story! Don't hesitate when you get revelation from God! He will guide you and help you! Have an amazing week everyone!
